Accordingly, Lombardi told his followers in an Instagram story about a serious conversation with his wife. She is said to have been shocked at how much money the singer wanted to take with her for a short three-day trip to Austria. When he told her that he had pocketed 1,000 euros in cash, the 27-year-old reacted irritably: “It can’t be true that you always spend so much money when you’re on the go.”

As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the singer lost 12,000 euros on the road in 2018. Because he wanted to buy a watch, he had the money in cash with him. Lombardi explained to the “Bild” newspaper: “It annoys me a lot. I took my key from the side pocket of my jogging suit, which also contained the money. Unfortunately, I didn’t close it anymore, so the money fell out unnoticed.”

“Sometimes I give myself something”

Lombardi also claims: “As a father, I’m frugal, but sometimes I give myself something. That’s why I draw attention to the fact that you always have to be careful in life”. However, Laura Maria does not seem to be convinced of his transformation into a saver. She is said to have tried once before to regulate his expenses by only paying him bits of pocket money from his own account. In his story, the 31-year-old admits: “Actually, she’s right.”

However, the couple should not be doing badly financially, because it was only recently announced that Lombardi will again be on the jury next to Dieter Bohlen for the next season of DSDS. After winning the talent show in 2011, he was part of the jury team in seasons 16, 17 and the anniversary season. His new song “For You” is about to be released, and the entertainer is also planning several performances this year.
