Apple has found that a small percentage of iPhone 11 units that were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 have a manufacturing defect in the display module that may cause the display to stop responding to touch. For this the company has launched a replacement program globally that would let users with the defect to replace the display module.
According to Apple, this program covers affected iPhone 11 devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit. Other iPhone models or the iPhone 11 that are not manufactured between the mentioned dates doesn’t come under this program. You can head to the dedicated support page for the iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program, select your country from the list and enter the serial number (Found in Settings > General > About) of the iPhone 11 to find if it has a defective display.
If it is eligible, users can go to one of the Apple Authorized Service Providers to get the display fixed at no additional cost.
