Apple introduced new iPads last month, and the new iPhone 12 series earlier this week along with the new HomePod mini. Now Apple leaker Jon Prosser claims that the first Apple Silicon Macs will be announced on November 17th, and the date will be confirmed by Apple on November 10th, a week before the launch. If this is true, this is the first time Apple is holding media events in three consecutive months, all of them virtually.

Popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s already reported that first ARM Mac would be a 13-inch MacBook Pro. A recent Bloomberg report said that Apple will introduce other products alongside, so we can expect the AirPods Studio, Apple’s high-end over-ear headphones at the event. We also did not see the AirTags at the iPhone event, but it is highly unlikely we will see this at the Mac event, since this has reportedly been delayed till March 2021.

Apple already said that the Apple Silicon will deliver industry-leading performance and powerful new technologies such as advanced power management for maximized performance and battery life, Secure enclave for the best-in-class security, High-performance GPU for whole new level of graphics performance, Neural Engine and Machine learning accelerators, video, display and image processing engines.

Earlier report from Bloomberg said the first Apple ARM chips would feature a 12-core processor based on the A14X design. These are expected to best the Intel equivalents in both performance with faster CPU/GPU and better optimized battery life.

We should know more details about the upcoming Mac event in the coming weeks.
