The Different Backblaze Products
- Backblaze Personal
The first product is suitable for individuals who want to securely back up their computer files and data at a low cost. Backblaze automatically backups your personal files. There’s no limit to the number of files, file sizes, and speed you want to backup.
The software is native to PC and Mac and does not use Java. All files are encrypted before transfers over SSL. Backblaze also keeps the old file versions and deleted files for 30 days. You can extend that time up to a year for an extra $2 per month.
For the pricing, you will have to pay $6 per month. If you want to pay on a yearly basis, this will cost $60, saving you $12. There’s also the 2-year plan that costs $110, saving you up to $34. Take note, that the prices are on a per-computer basis.

Backblaze Business allows you to backup critical business data from all your devices including:

The features and pricing of Backblaze Business are actually the same as Backblaze Personal.
- Backblaze B2
The last product, Backblaze B2 is an enterprise-grade, S3 compatible storage solution that businesses around the world use in order to serve and store data. Most developers use it to easily build their applications and managing services.

In terms of price, the B2 product costs $0.005 per GB monthly. However, the first 10GB is actually free. Meanwhile, the download cost is $0.01 per GB monthly. It also comes with a free 1GB download per day.
Also, you’re charged for API calls with the first 2,5000 are free per day and will cost you $0.004 per 10,000 transactions after.
Take note that for all products, Backblaze also offers a mailed service of physical devices instead of restoring your files via download. This should cost you $99 for a USB flash drive with up to 256GB capacity or $189 for an 8TB external hard drive
