Why BGMI Game Ban in India By Government
Let us tell you that in the year 2020, the government banned the PUBG Mobile Battle Royale game citing national security. But, BGMI was launched in India as the original avatar of the game. Now the government has also banned its entry. Recently, the Indian government also shut down the popular battle royale game Free Fire for the same reason.
The government has stopped entry to India’s popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Due to this, BGMI was removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store last night. Now you can’t be downloaded the BGMI game from Google Play. According to a report, this battle royale game has been blocked under Section 69A of the IT Act.
Let us tell you that many games and apps have been Bab in India under this section by the Indian Government. Apps or games played with national security are prohibited under this law only. News agency Reuters quoted the source as saying that BGMI has been blocked in India under Section 69A of the IT Act. Orders in this section are mostly kept confidential. Because of this, not much information is revealed about it to the public.
Demand for an investigation of the China connection was raised in Parliament
According to the report, Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) and non-profit organization Prahar had demanded a probe by the government into BGMI’s Chinese connections. Swadeshi Jagran Manch is the economic wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which runs the movement for Swadeshi. Abhay Mishra said that BGMI is no different from PUBG which is Prahar’s President. It is still controlled from behind by PUBG and Tencent. After the ban on this game, its players and fans are giving different types of reactions on social media.
In response to this petition, MeitY representative N Samaya Balan told the Telangana High Court that PUBG Mobile and BGMI are two different games. That only the government has the right to ban computer access.
What did the government say about this BGMI Game?
The Indian government has not publicly informed the ban on this game. But BGMI was removed from the Google Play store and App Store as of a few days ago evening in India. In response to this petition, MeitY representative N Samaya Balan told the Telangana High Court that PUBG Mobile and BGMI are two different games.
