Ready for this week’s free Epic Games Store games? It’s looking likely that we’re all going to be locked in for at least a short period of time while the Covid-19 health protection measures continue, so what better time for some gaming escapism?
Epic is giving away 20XX this week, which is available until August 6. Discover a rogue-like action platformer, and battle mighty bosses in the name of saving the human race.

As for the other games? Well, Epic is also giving away Barony, a first-person rogue-like, and Sword & Sworcery EP, a landmark action-adventure with an award-winning soundtrack by Jim Guthrie.
Epic Games Store is continuing to offer free games every week for the foreseeable future as part of its commitment to winning over gamers. It’s aiming to establish itself as a serious game distribution force, duking it out against the long-standing king of PC gaming, Valve’s Steam platform.
While Epic has courted some controversy through its aggressive approach to securing PC gaming exclusives for its platform, it’s hard to argue against its continued distribution of top-notch free games.

Can’t wait to get your hands on some more games without spending a penny? Well, we’ve got some good news. Epic has already revealed what’s coming next week – players can download Wilmot’s Warehouse from August 6 until August 13.
