Recently, OnePlus has started rolling out the new “Charging Stations” feature in India. Tailored-made for the Indian users, this feature in OxygenOS will notify you of the nearby OnePlus charging stations at the airport. Apart from notification, it also provides an option to track the station and distance to the closest one.
As per the company’s claims, the service runs with the help of beacons integrated into the charging stations that allow OnePlus devices to identify a nearby charging station and generate a notification. However, users can mute this service for 6 hours if you find themselves in long halts at the airports.
Currently, the charging stations are available at Bangalore airport, and will soon be launched at Delhi airport in India. There is no information regarding the charging speed, but it will likely support up to 65W warp charging for OnePlus 8T.
A couple of days back, OnePlus announced Education Benefits program in India, offering exclusive discounts to higher education students and teachers. As a part of the program, students, and teachers can avail of Rs. 1000 off on all OnePlus smartphones and 5% off on all accessories including audio, cases, and protection.
