Britney Spears is still young, but has already experienced a lot. Fans can get an impression of this from October 24th, when their autobiography will be published. Her co-writer is already announcing a “brutally honest” reckoning between the star and his family.
Britney Spears’ highly anticipated autobiography, The Woman in Me, will be released on October 24th. That reports the US magazine “People”. Gallery Books, a publisher of Simon & Schuster, won a bidding war and will publish the book.
“Britney’s compelling court testimony shook the world, changed laws and demonstrated her inspiring strength and courage. I have no doubt that her memoir will have a similar impact,” said Jennifer Bergstrom, senior vice president and editor of Gallery Books, the magazine in a statement. “We couldn’t be prouder to finally help her tell her story.” After a series of scandals, her father Jamie Spears took over his daughter’s guardianship in 2008. It wasn’t until 2021 that she ended a court.
The book is, as the publisher describes it, “a bold and amazingly moving story of freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope”. For the first time, “the incredible journey (and) strength at heart of one of the greatest performers in pop music history” will be revealed. The book aims to describe the “enduring power of music and love” and show the importance “of a woman telling her own story on her own terms”. The cover features an even younger Britney Spears wearing metallic shorts and topless covering her breasts with her arms and hands against a plain black background.
Laut “Page Six” those responsible expect a “groundbreaking, instant bestseller” that will “shake the world”. Britney Spears is said to be “brutally honest” with her family in the book she is said to have worked on with author and journalist Sam Lansky. “No stone is left unturned,” promises a source. “It’s truly a female empowerment story – she takes her life into her own hands”. In addition to guardianship, past relationships and her marriage to Sam Asghari should also be discussed. The singer is said to have received 15 million US dollars (about 13.6 million euros) for the deal with the publisher.
