RISE With SAP: Adoption Framework
Like SAP, the new product of the organization, RISE with SAP comes with loads of benefits and advantages for a business. It can make your proceedings much more agile. Hence, it’ll be easier to complete your regular tasks efficiently even if the work pressure has increased.
Apart from that, RISE with SAP can also ensure that you’re completing the repetitive tasks of your business without any issues. But how do you adopt it in your system? Is there something else you need to know about RISE with SAP?
Well, we have answered all of these questions in this article. So, please read till the end and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
The Basics of RISE with SAP
As mentioned before, the job of RISE with SAP is to help an organization get started with Cloud-based solutions. Its job is to accelerate the procedure of cloud adoption, as it requires quite a bit of guesswork and enterprise planning.
The solution usually comes with six different critical areas of business as a whole, including –
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Suite (it’s the flagship ERP suite of SAP and can help you take care of your finance, and organizational data, and manage supplier relationships).
- SAP Business Network Starter Pack (it’s a set of functional tools that can aid you in getting connected with a trading partner working in a source-to-pay process).
- System Hosting (since the S/4HANA is running on a cloud, you will need a hosting app to work on it – and, that’s what System Hosting is going to offer you).
- SAP BTP (as a platform-as-a-service offering, it can assist you with evaluating your business procedures, developing and integrating applications, and data management).
- Embedded Services and Tools (like the former, it also helps you get some apps as well as tools to analyze, support, and manage whatever data you’re working with).
- Business Process Intelligence (it can help you assess various components, stimulate or design them, and monitor how they’re performing in a viable environment).
Now, if you want, you can use all these tools and apps as your organization’s ecosystem needs you to do. Let’s move on to the next section to learn more about how you can integrate it.
The Adoption Procedure Of RWS
Adopting RISE with SAP and implementing it in your business infrastructure can be a pretty tricky job. However, to simplify it, we’ve discussed the same in a step-by-step format. Hence, we’ll request you to read till the end thoroughly.
And, if you have any confusion or anything regarding the same, kindly comment it below. We will try our best to solve it in any possible manner. So, let’s get started, then.
Step – 1: Create A “New Company.”
To begin with, you will need to create a new company in your organizational structure. And to do that, you’ll need to use the SAP GUI IMG tool.
Hence, at first, you’ll need to type in the customizing transaction code SPRO within the field of command and confirm it. After that, choose the “SAP Reference IMG button” and expand the “Enterprise Structure folder.” Then, click on the “Definition folder.”
Finally, expand the “Financial Accounting folder” and open the IMG activity from there. You will find another section here called “new entry.” Click on it to open your “new company.”
Step – 2: Activate A Pre-Built Implementation Scenario.
Once you’re done with creating a “new company,” please navigate to the official site of SAP and click on Maintenance Planner. It’ll redirect you to a brand new window.
Thus, once you’re there, you’ll have to click on the “Plan for Cloud Integration Scenario” and open it. Another new window will open in front of you with loads of written stuff.
Now, you’ll have to open the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central alongside S/4HANA to review the details correctly. If you feel like it’s ideal for you, then go for it. Or…
Step – 3: Create A New, Customized Field To Make An Application.
For the next step, we’ll ask you to open the SAP S/4HANA Cloud again. And don’t forget to do the same with the Fiori Launchpad website (private edition) as well.
If you have an account here already, you’ll need to put in your username and password here. And, that’s that. Or else, you’ll need to create a new account here again.
Anyways, once you’ve opened and logged into your account, you have to tap on the Custom Fields and Logic app. Now, click on “create a new field.” This will complete the procedure of creating a customized for your application.
RISE with SAP – The Aspect Of “Project Readiness”
When it comes to RISE with SAP, most people consider it to be something like a simple ERP functionality. That’s all. However, it’s not true at all. Apart from that, RWS can help you out with some other aspects as well. And amongst them, one is known as “project readiness.”
Here’s how it can help you out.
- Cloud Mindset Assessment (it can help you get insights on your company’s readiness to adapt to a brand new cloud solution).
- SAP Cloud ALM (it will offer its support in managing the lifecycle of the APIs of the organization. You’ll get it from the cloud subscription accordingly).
- SAP Activate Methodology (it features different deliverables, phases, and tasks that’ll help or guide you through proper implementation).
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Release Upgrade (it can ensure a smooth upgrade to a new and effective updation to the Cloud Release Upgrade).
- Best Practices (boost the speed or simplify the adoption of S/4HANA Cloud through the usage of ideal practice business procedures).
Wrapping It Up
In this article, we’ve only provided you with a tiny bit of information regarding the adoption or, to some extent, app creation procedure on RWS.
However, if you are somewhat new here, chances are you’re pretty confused right now. But it is okay. You’re venturing into a brand-new field of work. So, it’s best to clear out whatever you are worried about at the beginning. And you can do it in two ways.
Firstly, you can visit the official website of SAP and check out the products it provides other than RWS. Or, you can specify what you’re having trouble with in the comment section.
